Michael Weir - (Director)

Michael has broad professional experience as a solicitor in private legal practice in commercial and property law.
In his academic career Michael has published extensively on Land Law and Planning Law. He is an author of Real Property Law in Queensland, LBC (2nd edition, 2004). Michael has a research interest in Medicine and the Law with a focus on complementary and alternative medicine and law and ethics. This interest is reflected in the student textbook Complementary Medicine: Ethics and Law, Prometheus Publications in 2000 (second edition 2003). Michael is currently Deputy Dean of the Law Faculty.

Judy has extensive experience in curriculum development in Complementary Medicine in both the University and Vocational sectors. She has been a member of academic staff at UNE since 1994, has developed articulation pathways between vocational sector Complementary Medicine practitioner qualifications and UNE Bachelors degrees, and developed the UNE Master of Health Science (Herbal Medicine). Judy is currently teaching into the Bachelor of Medicine – Joint Medical Program at UNE as well as supervising postgraduate students in a range of Complementary Medicine research projects.
