Martin Costigan is the National President of the Australian Homoeopathic Association(AHA). He practices out of his own clinic, Living Water Homeopathy, in Deception Bay, Brisbane and lectures in homoeopathy both within Australia and abroad. Martin is also a qualified Biomesotherapist and Bowen Therapist. Coming originally from both a biomedical science and teaching background, Martin is well equipped to incorporate his approach to homeopathy into a broader context when dealing with patients, practitioners and students.
Martin also has an interest in the area of self development and has facilitated a number of retreats for both teenagers and adults in the areas of personal and spiritual growth.
He is the author of the book, Whole Man: Unleashing the Potential of the Modern Man. This book is designed as a comprehensive and practical guide for men wishing to embark on a journey to wholeness. It helps to fill this much neglected area in men's self help literature.
When away from homeopathy Martin's interests include flying, music, woodwork, cooking, gardening and travelling.
Mandy Heritage (Treasurer) - AHA
Dr Mandy Heritage of Heritage Homeopathy, is a unique individual with a diverse background and a passion for discovering the cause of dis-ease and how to cure it.
She has completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) and an Advanced Diploma of Homeopathy.
During her early career she was a successful medical research scientist for almost 20 years. She published research papers on a rare genetic condition called “Alagille Syndrome”, the effects of alcohol and iron overload on the liver and finally the use of curcumin and vitamin E to alleviate fatty liver disease. During this time she has travelled all over the world and presented her findings to the top scientists in the field.
Her search on how to ‘CURE’ disease led to her homeopathy where a homeopathic remedy improved her asthma and chronic bronchitis. She has spent the last 12 years studying and using this modality successfully on her family and friends. She is a registered homeopath with the Australian Register of Homeopaths (AROH) and a member of the Australian Homeopathic Association (AHA).
Marion Volk - AHA
Marion has a background in sociology, education, naturopathy, herbal medicine and homeopathy. She is a naturopath and herbalist in clinical practice with over 20 years’ experience and fellow of the Australian Natural Therapists Association, and a practising member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia, the Australian Register of Homoeopaths and the Australian Homoeopathy Association.
She has a strong interest in supporting the Homeopathy and the naturopathic professions to improve and maintain their high standards by working in academic and clinical training, and mentoring graduates in clinical practice. She is committed to working towards registration of the profession. Her goal is to contribute to make prudent use of complementary health more accessible to the whole community to promote public health and wellbeing.She has completed a Master’s degree in Education, Masters of Health Science degree in complementary medicine and graduated from Bachelor degrees in each Sociology (Hon), Education, Naturopathy, and Bachelor of Health Science degrees in Complementary Medicine and Western Herbal Medicine.
Samantha Teitchahl - HERA
Divya Bhatt - AHA
Divya has more than 9 years of experience as a Classical Homoeopath from INDIA. She is practising Homeopathy in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory since 2016. With the medical training from India, Divya is recognised as having a “Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery” from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, INDIA; and “Doctor of Medicine in Organon of Medicine with Homoeopathic Philosophy” from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, INDIA. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma from the National Academy of Homoeopathy, Nagpur, INDIA.
As part of her Medical training, Divya underwent Internship of one year in the departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery, Dermatology, Psychiatry and Neurology in various Government Hospitals at Bangalore, India. Furthermore, during the Internship, she did a study on the “Scope of Homoeopathy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma” in 2007. While doing the Doctor of Medicine in Homoeopathy, she completed a study on the "Totality of Symptoms in Allergic Rhinitis" from 2008 to 2011.
She migrated to Australia in 2016. Her main purpose is to work for the betterment of Homoeopathy in Australia and help the public to get the benefits of Homoeopathy. Her main areas of interest are in Education and Clinical Practice in Homoeopathy in Australia. She is registered with the Australian Register of Homoeopaths (AROH) and a professional member of the Australian Homoeopathic Association (AHA).
